Why even bother?

The changes happening in our metropolitan community are myriad. The responses to those changes vary greatly -- excitement and anticipation, fear and anxiety, sadness and grieving; and even anger and resentment. Why bother? As James Baldwin wrote, "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can change until it is faced." Let's sit down together and reason things out! Let's see what positive changes we can make together.

I've seen three (3) different registration fees. How much does the conference really cost?

It’s not a trick! We offer registration for the conference on a sliding scale ($75, $55, and $35 for adults and $40, $30, and $20 for youth -- ages 12 to 24). You choose the highest rate that you can afford during registration. Regardless of the amount you choose to pay, your registration at that amount includes admission to all conference activities

What if I can't even afford the lowest rate?

Call us at 615-782-8212 or email us at info@n2n.solutions. We are not going to turn anyone away who wants to make a positive difference in their neighborhood. You will still have access to every conference activity (including the breakfast and lunch).

How much is parking going to cost me?

Nothing. When you arrive at The Cal Turner Family Center you will park in the parking garage located at 21st Avenue North and Almeda Street.

What about COVID-19 Protocols?

No pre-test or proof of vaccination required.

No masks required.

You are welcome to wear a mask for any reason.

If you are not feeling well, we strongly suggest that you stay home.

We recommend that everyone maintain a current vaccination for COVID.

Do I have to stay in the breakout session if I don’t like it (or decide there is something more interesting)?

No. We are all old enough to make our own informed decisions. If you want to move around you can do so. However, if you go to a different session, please let those who registered for that session in advance get any handouts first. If there are leftovers you can have one.

What is a Continental Breakfast?

Fresh baked muffins, bagels, danishes with spreads; whole seasonal fresh fruit; freshly brewed coffee (decaffeinated option); and a hot tea selection.

What should I wear?

While there is no official dress code (yes, you can wear your bow tie), most people wear something that is informal and comfortable, yet clean and professional. So, Khakis or good jeans, shorts, or a skirt with a t-shirt, polo shirt, turtleneck, casual button-down shirt/blouse and/or sweater.

We recommend that you bring a sweater or jacket if you easily get cold.

Please! No slogans that are generally considered offensive.
